Part II The New Girl

Initial reaction [and place holder for full review]
I have previously read "Report," and will again, but I confess that I only read as far as Chapter 2-Dance.
[I believe that originally appeared after Report.] The fault wasn't with your story. It's entirely me. I loved it up to a bit past Missy's Parking Lot mechinations, but I was beginning to get vaguely Angst-ish about were the story was going. The introduction of new, and unfamiliar characters wasn't helping. [Todd and Missy were adorable, but Nicky and Josh were ... initially confusing.] Partially I was afraid it was veering too far away from the main story line. More I felt it was building to a very literal Climax that I expected would be jarring, and not at all satisfying.
That is entirely me. I'm a completely incurable "Old Fashioned Romantic" That's a euphemism. To be more plain would be rude, and "WAY Too Much Personal Information."
I bulled through all of it this time, and as I expected there were additions and changes. I'm delighted to report my fears were unfounded!
  • [Forgive me, the pun was, initially, unintended, but it is entirely appropriate.] You have a "slow hand, and an easy touch."
  • Ash and Emily's discovery of each other is handled, almost entirely from their perspective. You see it awaken through their eyes, and the people immediately around them.
  • It's all entirely tucked neatly behind the 4th wall, and you don't feel like some creepy "guardian" angel yourself. Your not, at any time, an intruder.
  • You tell the story as much by what you leave to our imaginations, and the images you invoke are more vivid for it.
Thank you! What you have here is engrossing, satisfying, and genuinely erotic [a rare gem, in this jaded age.]
I don't mind, in the slightest, telling you it brought happy tears, more then once. I guess I'm like Rumisiel that way. [copied to appropriate Napalm Luck topic]
